MARDUK: New Live Photos Posted Online

Swedish black metallers MARDUK made their live debut with new singer Mortuus (previously a member of FUNERAL MIST and TRIUMPHATOR under the alias Arioch) on Saturday, May 1 at the Motala Metal Festival in Motala, Sweden. Photos of the group's performance have been posted online at the Tartarean Desire web site. Check them out here (all photos by Vincent Eldefors).

As previously reported, MARDUK will be entering an as-yet-undetermined studio during the summer to record their ninth full-length album, tentatively due before the end of the year. Among the tracks set to appear on the CD is a collaboration between MARDUK and ARDITI, the project formed by H. Moller from PUISSANCE and M. Bjorkman. ARDITI's music is said to combine "military percussions, oppressive industrial loops and samples of speeches and old songs to instill a dark and sinister atmosphere."
